Billing Information

When will I be charged?

Direct Digital Access is free for the first several days of class (see opt-out deadlines above on when free access ends for current semester). After the free access has ended, you will be charged for the materials. The charge will be listed as “Bookstore-Req'd Digital” on your student account. All payments are made to the Bursar office.

What if I buy the access code directly from the publisher?

Black Hawk College has negotiated the best price for Direct Digital Access, so there should be no reason to purchase from the publisher. However, if you buy from the publisher’s website you still need to opt out of Direct Digital Access by the date. The BHC provided digital access material is separate from any purchased from the publisher.

I didn't opt-out or use my material. Can I get a refund?

Sorry, but no refunds will be granted to those who did not opt-out by the deadline. All DDA charges are final unless otherwise noted.

I dropped a class, can I get a refund for my DDA materials?

If you drop a 16-week or 8-week class within 10 DAYS of the first day of class, you will be eligible for a refund if you were charged.

If you drop a 4-week or 6-week class within 7 DAYS of the first day of class, you will be eligible for a refund if you were charged.

If you drop a minimester course within 5 DAYS of the first day of class, you will be eligible for a refund if you were charged.
