Payment Information

 

What forms of payment do you accept?

In-Store: The bookstore accepts cash, checks (with a student ID #), debit and credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, Tap to Pay options). Student may use financial aid at the beginning of each semester.

 

Online: Credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, Discover) are the only forms of payment accept.

 

Is it safe to use my credit card and other personal information on the website?

Yes. All your login and billing information is sent via encrypted SSL.

 

What is considered Financial Aid?

Financial Aid may include Pell grants, scholarships, awards, and loans. Students can check their financial aid balance by logging into myBHC.

 

What can I purchase with my Financial Aid?

You can purchase books, supplies, and clothing in the college stores after verification of awards has been posted to your account. Financial aid cannot be used to purchase food or drink in the bookstore. Why is the amount listed in my order process email different than my order confirmation email?

We substitute new or used titles based on availability, therefore your order may differ from the estimated amount provided in your confirmation email. We will send you an email if this is the case, and your order shipment email will reflect these updated prices.

 

When is the payment applied to my credit card?

You may see a "hold" of $1.00 in your account when you place an order. You will not be fully charged until the order is processed through.

 

Shipping Information

 

How much is shipping?

For all BHC merch items, school supplies, and textbooks (excludes Lands' End), Hawk's Hub has a flat shipping rate of $19.99 per order.

 

How long does does shipping take?

Please allow 1-6 business days to process and pack your orders. Allow a week for delivery of these items. Packages will be shipped via FEDEX. We will provide a tracking number upon request. Please note: all orders placed during "rush" (one week before and the week classes begin) and orders with out-of-stock items may take longer to process.

 

Can I order online and pick up in-store?

No, all online orders are for shipment only. 

 

What if my package doesn't arrive?

You will need to contact FedEx directly to file all claims. Black Hawk College and Hawk's Hub are not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged packages.

 

Lands' End

 

How do I know what size to order?

Please visit Lands' End website to view sizing. Note, by clicking the following links, you will be redirected to their website: women's sizing and men's sizing

 

How much is shipping?

All Lands' End items have a flat shipping rate of $9.99 per order.

 

How long does shipping take?

Items ordered from the Lands' End line will process in 1-3 business days. Allow two weeks for delivery of these items.

 

What else do I need to know about Lands' End?

Since these items are made to order, the bookstore will not accept any returns or exchanges of Lands' End items.
